7742 Via Capri 22 Sep 91 La Jolla CA 92037 Rancy F. Snyder 1318 N. W. 11 Place Fort Lauderdale FL 33311 Rancy, I received your letter in yesterday's post and decided that the most direct way to answer you is like this, as I am sure that you are anxious to get up and operating. The disk enclosed contains all of the standard CP/M system disk utilities plus some others that I have found useful over the years. You will note that I have covered the write protect notch on this disk. I strongly suggest that you leave it there and that you take as your first task making work copies of this disk and any others that you have only a single copy of. You can use the program COPY.COM to do that - it is pretty much self explanatory. You will notice that COPY.COM contains the ability to SYSGEN the operating system onto the system tracks. I wish you many interesting hours with your Kaypro - they are a nice machine. If there is anything that I can do later to be of assistance, please contact me, I'll certainly try. If you would care to make a donation of about $3 to defray costs of media, mailer, and postage, it will be much appreciated as this is an unfunded effort of the Computer Society. Happy computing, Don Maslin P.S.
