RETRIEVING A WORKSHEET THAT IS TOO LARGE Floppy Only Method CAUTION 1. This procedure allows you to work on the original worksheet and not its copy. Therefore, we recommend that you be sure to make a copy of your data diskette before you proceed. In that way you will have a copy of the worksheet if something should go wrong. 2. Because this procedure allows work on the original worksheet and not its copy, it is recommended that a copy of your data diskette be made before proceeding. This will be that backup copy of the worksheet if something should go wrong. ASSUMPTIONS: We assume that you are in the Spreadsheet module before starting this procedure and that you have already saved any worksheet that you may have been working on. Get the worksheet's non-Indexed file name 1. Press INDEX. 2. Find the worksheet in the list of files that you cannot RETRIEVE and write down the date and file number associated with it. 3. Create the non-Indexed file name for that worksheet from the date and file number from step 2. This file name will be used in step 13. If you do not know how to do that, follow the instructions in the section "Determining the TPM File Name of a Valdocs Indexed File." 4. Press UNDO. Save your current worksheet 5. If there is a worksheet already on display that you want to keep, press STORE and give it an appropriate Index file name. Delete the Spreadsheet's temporary worksheet 6. Press COPY DISK. 7. Select ile copy, delete, rename. 8. When asked for the source drive, type: B and press RETURN. 9. Since the data diskette is still in the right drive, press RETURN to continue. 10. Select elete file. 11. Move the cursor through the file list until you come to the file SSCELL.TMP and select it (press RETURN). Rename the large worksheet 12. Select ename a file. 13. Move the cursor through the file list until you come to the file name that you created in step 3 and select it (press RETURN). 14. Type in: SSCELL.TMP and press RETURN. Return to Spreadsheet 15. Press CALC. When you get to the Spreadsheet module you will find that the worksheet you could not RETRIEVE is already there.
