TRS-80 Software

Introduction

There are a number of places on the net to find downloadable software for the TRS-80. I have attempted to list several of the various sites, along with some general comments about them, based on my impression at the time. This is by no means meant to be a list of all the places you can go to find software for the TRS-80 on the net. I'm sure there are some others out there.

Tim Mann's TRS-80 Page

Tim Mann has a very nice TRS-80 page. He got permission from Roy Soltoff (the owner of Misosys) to put all the Misosys software up for download. I converted a number of the ASCII documentation files to Microsoft Word 97 format, and they are available on his page as well as some other stuff he sent me to scan in and OCR. I still have a lot more to do as time permits, so check here often to see if I've managed to get a break from work to scan and OCR more documents. :)

Ira Goldklang's TRS-80 Revived Site

Wow! Ira has got a TON of software available for the Model I, Model III, Model 4 and Color Computer. He's also got quite a bit of other information, too. I try to stop by his page at least twice a week to see what's new.

The omen.com FTP site

This site has been around for a while. I think it's the file list from an old BBS that was online down in Australia. I've never been able to talk to anyone there about it, though, so I'm not too sure.

David Sampson's TRS-80 page

David has a lot of public domain disk images on his page, and there are quite a few good programs on them. You'll be glad you stopped by here.

The kjsl.com FTP site

This is the site that's on the same machine as the TRS-80 Home Page. There isn't quite as much software here as there once was on the old Musie site, but there's still quite a bit of it. This is the only place I know that still has all the old TRSLINK electronic magazines available.

Guy Omer's 8N1 site

Guy has been running a TRS-80 related BBS for almost forever, it seems. He has a few files for download on his site, and a whole lot more on his BBS. Check the main page for his BBS number and a few other TRS-80 BBSs that are still around.

The Wrong Number BBS

Chuck Hague runs a Fidonet BBS with a file area dedicated to TRS-80s. All his files are available for download or Fidonet F'REQ (File Request). The 'magic' name to f'req for the TRS-80 file listing is 'MOD134'.
