   This is true...It dries out, as well as deteriorates chemically.  The 
containers are marked with expiration dates.

   I keep mine sealed in zip-loc bags in the bottom drawer of the 
refrigerator, which is not used for food...only solder paste, 
batteries, and film for the SEM camera.
