Lots of the old iron did this, particularly the compilers that were
entirely card-oriented. (i.e., read in the compiler, then the source
deck, pick up the punched output, read in the second compiler pass
and then the cards just punched and then collect the object deck.
How about the original paper tape FORTRAN that ran on a barebones PDP
8/L?
