Logic trainer finds

How big (approximately) are these tapered pins, length, diamter at the
'big end', diameter at the 'small end'. Are they just plain tapered pins
(i.e. no spring contacts on the sides or anything). 

I am wondering how hard it would be to make some from brass rod....
