I had a couple of years experience in the Dog Show scene, some time
back, and found that sports halls (school, college and stand-alone)
tended to get used a lot.  They ranged from fairly big to Huge, and
had solid floors.  For a VCF, though, power might be an issue -
sockets were obviously not a priority in most of their designs....  I
got the impression that they were usually, at least at the time,
fairly cheap to hire,
