airport x-ray machines: can they damage 8" floppies?

Dont wory about them, I lived on the road for several years as a field enginieer (Have Scope will travel) 
and carried a case full of disks through airports every day. One week I saw 6 clients in 5 states. 
Never a problem with disks and airports.
