CD player repair

Have you any Matsushita or Panasonic CD-ROM drives that can be 
re-assembled easily and are of similar vintage?  You might be able to 
spot a mechanism that "looks right".  I did something similar with a 
Sony CD player and a small pile of Sony CD-ROMs.  They were all, 
fortunately, easy to reassemble, so I didn't end up trashing any drives 
unnecessarily.
