Doesn't the "home computer" (not the Honeywell "kitchen computer") go
back at least as far as 1968? Wasn't there an outfit that marketed a
box with two tape drives and a display in it for home use? Not a
computer, per se, but an information storage and retrieval device. A
name like "Viacon"? My brain has too many dustbunnies to remember
much more, but I recall reading about it a long time ago.
Perhaps one of the digital archaeologists on the list remembers.
Cheers,
Chuck
