I don't know what your nick is/was, but there was quite a lot of 
activity both before and after your mail, and a bunch of new people 
dropped in during the hours after your mail.

It's quite an active channel, so I think you just happened to drop in 
during a lull in activity. I know the type of channel you're referring 
to, but #classiccmp isn't one of those at all. There are Europeans and 
Americans in the channel so the activity seems to be relatively well 
spread-out in the day, too.
