Yeah it would. Dunno if I'd wanna clean up the mess afterwards, though. :-)
The other thing I've used is a small vise, with some padding on the jaws, as
others have mentioned. I don't do a *lot* of those connectors, though some
years back I got a box of 36-pin "centronics" type and some ribbon cable. I
don't think I used 'em all up, though.
