Same here.  In fact, I'm young enough that, even though I grew up around 
a machine with lights and switches, I never used one on a daily basis. 
However, it's fun and cool.  Maybe even exciting, in a perverse way. 
And it can be damn impressive to write a bootloader into RAM from memory.
