Assuming you have SCSI for your PDP-11, the easiest way to install is to 
build the system using simh and then dd the resulting disk image to a 
SCSI drive attached to the system running the emulation. Move the disk 
to the PDP-11 and away you go. Somehow that seems like cheating. I used 
this method for my first installation and then made some 9-track tapes 
so I could get the authentic experience. :-)
