They're still being made, mostly in the former USSR.  After Mullard 
stopped producing valves in the 1980s, a company in the USSR bought the 
whole lot up and shipped it across.  If you buy a Sovtek ECC83 or EL34, 
it's exactly like an old Mullard one.
