I've sold 8b micros for more than $1000 (a Sol system), so getting a 
real mini including tape drive for $1000 doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Of course, you have to determine what it is worth to you.  Personally, 
you'd have to pay me $1000 to take it.  I don't need any more projects.
