Which makes them totally useless, of course. Oddly, I find the data 
recorded on a disk to be much more valuable than the disk itself.

The ohter trick that's pulled is that the small print says 'provided the 
furomat is still in current use' or something like that. And the 
manufactuerers hope that <n> years in the future, it won't be.
