I maintained, until the project died, the Mac port of a cross-"compiler" for
Plua, which was my favourite way to program classic PalmOS apps.

But my preferred language for 90% of my tasks is Perl. After that, a
smattering of C/C++, BASIC, Pascal, Tcl/Tk, csh, whatever works well for
the project at hand.

I refuse to write Python, and I find Ruby and PHP too trendy.
