So, when you get a piece of equipment with a great big nest in it and 
PC boards buried in mouse feces, what's the best way to clean the 
board?

I've tried warm water and mild detergent to no good effect.  Easy Off 
aerosol oven cleaner (basically lye) follwed by a good rinse and dry 
seems to work much better.
