Kip's web page stopped updating around 1997 and I haven't spoken with him in detail about what happened. I'm trying to get an interview going with him. He went on to co-author a book about Windows 98 and I don't know after that - http://www.amazon.com/Windows-1998-Bible-Frederic-Davis/dp/0201696908/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1299523469&sr=8-4
