I have a general idea of the size -- I have the (canvas?)
carrying case for the Portable 3.  It has a compartment
that is normally zippered shut (so that it takes up no
space) that can be unzippered to make the case larger -- I
assume to accommodate the add-on chassis.

Excellent!  I'd like to get the Opus board running again
so I can dump all of the software that I have for it onto
some more reliable medium (currently on 9T tape)
