Okay, then don't sort into separate boxes, but rather color the email a 
different color based on the filter.  Thunderbird, Outlook, even *nix 
stuff like Mutt can highlight subject lines in a list in different 
colors, so just flag all of your mailing list email a different color 
based on the filter.
