I'm familiar with the stuff but would never really consider using it on
electronics gear--it's basically phosphoric and sulfuric acids with some
detergent and silica as a polishing agent. The "jelly" is nothing more
than Xanthan gum (also used to thicken salad dressing).
Surely, there must be safer ways to clear away rust!
