IF you mean me,
the early OB would certainly do GCR, but it could not handle some of the
data rates for Mac disks. That was one of the design goals for the
My experience was that both were flaky for high density (500kbps)
I used them in XTs, both OEM and generic, and in almost OEM ATs.
Never had any success with faster machines than that.
Because the software was overly reliant on the index pulse, it couldn't do
the back side of a ][ "flippy", nor hard sectored.
So, one day we made up a copy protection system that it could not handle,
although DISKCOPY would.
