I'm reading "A History of Modern Computing", 2nd Edition, Paul Ceruzzi, 
Curator of Aerospace Electronics and Computing at the National Air and Space 
Museum.

Page 261 - "Apple, not Xerox, brought the concept of windows, icons, a mouse, 
and pull-down menus (the WIMP interface) to a mass market..."
