Yeah, me three.

I'd like to know what the difference is between
a writable (write/rewrite) CD/DVD and
ordinary ones.
How do you "write-protect" a CD/DVD??

This would be useful knowledge, especially
when I get a DVD-recorder (sometime this
year).
