You got there first :-) Pulls of drives from old Apple systems seem like a 
good bet - I've used a few on various machines which need a 512 byte block 
size. I normally use an Apple CD600, but it isn't quite perfect - some SGI 
systems don't like it for some reason (others do, as does everything non-SGI 
I've hooked it up to)

Freecycle lists seem awash with old 90's Apple kit free for the asking...
