IC collecting

I do collect (well, accumulate) ICs, but I intend to use them as spares 
for machines that I own/use. I know that one day I will need that 8008 to 
fix a PDP11/34 front panel, or whatever.

But I personally have no desire to have a 'stamp collection' of supposedly
rare ICs sitting in conductive foam.
