Seconded.  Chip collectors are to computer collectors like a hypothetical
"nut and bolt" collector would be to a vintage car collector.  Could you
imagine: "I don't have room for a model T Ford so I took it apart and made
this great display of the nuts and bolts.  I threw the rest of the junk
away.  It was all dirty.  Look at my collection.  They're sorted by
diameter,
thread pitch, Phillips/flat head..."
