I'm pretty sure that the SOG signal should already be there.  The way 
I'd do it is to hook:

13w3 -> IBM Cable -> 3BNC -> BNC Couplers -> 3BNC -> SGI Cable -> 13w3

It's one sure way to get the pinouts right.
