It's even more "fun" when the 4-way is plugged into the power jack on a 
machine, and the 9V connector wipes against, say, an edge connector. Instant 
fried chips, and not the edible kind.

That's pretty much how my Jupiter Ace got wrecked (and speaking of which, I 
*still* haven't managed to get in touch with the guy who was *supposed* to be 
repairing it....)
