Good Composite->VGA converters for classic computers (& video games...)

Well, sure.  I wasn't expecting the highest quality output for what I 
paid (but I didn't _need_ that...).  But I wasn't expecting it to be 
unable to sync to half of my gear :).  I'm sure there has to be a happy 
medium between $30 and $20,000....
