Oh same here - I've done some screwing around with VMWare recently and it's 
pretty darn impressive. However, I'm seeing a pretty big speed decrease 
(hardly surprising) and resource usage can be pretty high (also hardly 
surprising).

If FreeBSD supports the necessary software (i.e. the mailing list and web 
server) and the hardware (i.e. drivers) then I don't think there's any real 
benefit in virtualisation - I don't imagine there's a real need to run more 
than one OS on the hardware, and backing up the data and site config under 
FreeBSD (such that it could be easily restored to another machine) likely 
isn't a big issue.

My $0.02 anyway.
