As an individual radio ham, Ham Radio Deluxe is widely reported not to
work under wine. The official line is here:-

so yes it runs on windows in a VM under Linux, so thats really a no...
.. as an Medium Size Enterprise windows is attractive. Most everything
you need comes from one supplier. Users can easily logon to any PC. You
can manage software updates centrally out-of-the box.
That is not to say you can't do the same things with Linux, but there
isn't a single source of supply.
remember the people who run businesses are generally non-technical,
don't like managing technical staff, which makes a Microsoft "solution"
which would include desktop windows attractive.
