The British pint is 20 floz. US pint is 16 floz. And tbe British floz
is different from the US floz. I think they both weigh one ounce, but
Britain defines the volume at the temperature of maximum water density,
4°C, while USA defines it at 20°C.
With a proper pint glass, there's a mark. Fill to the mark with beer
(not foam) - totally unambiguous.
That mark was the result of a lawsuit (!) between a customer and a
publican. You didn't fill my glass! Yes I did! No you didn't! See you
