When OS/2 was first coming out, there were MS-DOS enthusiasts who
were very leery of it.  Mainly because it came out in the same
time period as the PS/2 Microchannel systems, and some people
viewed it as a threat, as IBM's attempt to 'close the
architecture' and grab back control of the PC platform.
