We ALL have things which INFURIATE us, despite being
in common usage.
 And we can't resist reacting.
Though some of us sometimes can (mostly) keep the reactions off the
list. :/
For myself, I HATE "1.44M" when referring to
a drive with 1,474,560
 bytes. (1.40625 Mebibytes)
The whole kibblebytes/maybebytes/gibberbytes stupidity is one of my pet
peeves. I refuse to let disk manufacturers redefine storage amounts
out from under me, no matter who buys into their fiction.
  1,024,000 bytes per "Megabyte"??!?
Agreed, "1.44M" floppies are a particularly schizoid measurement. Not
that it bothers me the way [KMGT]iB do...as you said, different folks,
different hot buttons. :)
