I checked
again. The connectors on the VAX 4000/500 are identical to
SCSI connectors.
But the wiring to the ribbon cable is different. DSSI uses a 1:1
mapping of pin numbers. The HD50 connector for SCSI is wired this way
to the ribbon cable:
