I keep (and use!) my Amiga 2000 and Mac Color Classic to show people how
FAST a GUI can be, when it is not bloated by useless functions :oP

 My workspace is fast too!
It's a GUI but I spend 93% of my time in a terminal. The other shared
between instant messaging software, music players, and web browsers.
I barely need a GUI to be perfectly honest!

I love GUIs for "utility" things like email, and of course for drawing
schematics and laying out PCBs, but really, a GUI for me is just a very
effective way to get a whole shitload of terminals on one desktop. I tend to
do deeply technical work nearly all the time, which is nearly all text-based,
with the occasional graph or plot.
