So that's my experience and observations of cold and computers.  Take
away from it what you will. 
Thanks for the info Ethan.  I ran with a modern electric heater (we
bought it less than a year ago) pointed at the rack on the lowest
setting.  As a result the temp was 45F over the night.  This is
compared to 30F over by the door.
We got down to 11F last night, for us that's *COLD*, in fact I'm
fairly sure it broke a record for the day, and is about the coldest
I've ever seen around here (I've lived here my whole life except 10
years in the Navy).
