... but it wasn't part of Circuit Cellar

Are you sure that was in a CC column? I've read most everything he's
published (in BYTE and otherwise) and I don't recall any 68K stuff at all.

Didn't Circuit Cellar do something like this in a
series of articles?
You're probably thinking of the Trump Card, which
used a Z8000.
(Z8001 in particular)
