I guess if you drive in snowbanks or haul stuff around alot an SUV is handy,
a normal 2 door pasenger car is all I ever owned (well and an old covette).
I'm in Ohio and have seen stretched SUV type limos (wonder what gas milage
they get).

I have also seen a stretch Hummer. (ie about the length of a limo!!!)
