took him around a decade to find it. It's too bad that he murdered
the machine. It's a bit tempting to me since I have a silly dream
of having a VAX-11/780 someday, but I don't feel motivated enough
to pick up this pile in hopes of finding a nice wine cabinet with a
VAX backplane to plug it all in to someday.

To be fair, some of these 'mods' were done many years ago now, before
the 780 had the collectible status it does now.
