New subject: RSTS Guru's out there?
I'm planning on setting up my PDP-11 for use in getting a bunch of RL02s
with RSTS 7.1 and 7.2 on them to boot up, and hopefully get the puppy
networked and move over the data on them... Any RSTS guru's I can
pester.... err, ummm I mean ask some questions? ;-)

I'm planning on setting up my PDP-11 for use in
getting a bunch of RL02s
with RSTS 7.1 and 7.2 on them to boot up, and hopefully get the puppy
networked and move over the data on them... Any RSTS guru's I can
pester.... err, ummm I mean ask some questions? ;-)
I'm not a RSTS Guru, however, to network using DECnet you'd have to find a copy of
DECnet/E V2.0, which isn't the easiest thing to obtain. The other problem is,
you'll need supported hardware.
On a related note, I've been working on a project to create a Cross-Reference of what
PDP-11 software was out at the time of a specific OS release.

I'd thought of suggesting Kermit, the question is, is there a version that
is available for RSTS/E (especially if it's V7.x)? The freeware archives
for RSTS/E are pretty slim. Then there is that whole serial port issue.
