the seller is too brain dead to describe what it is, despite stating that it's tested
and working.
I seem to have a vague recollection of what this is, but actually I'm not totally
sure.

Early freezer cartridge. This is what later turned into the Super Snapshot,
also by LMS. I have an SSv5.
