It is a sad comment on our society that there could be a need to tell
people.
Are there really people who were not taught that the first time that they
encountered a threaded fastener?
In this specific case, the threaded fasteners are self-tapping and are
likely to shed plastic shavings so I understand why the caution is
there.
Yes, it's good practice for all threaded fasteners, but it's
especially important when loose debris will make your day turn out
extra sad.
