Looking for the 24-pin PC clock batteries, such as benchmarq p/n: PM346006
Mouser and Digikey is out of stock.
Anyone have an adapter or method to make one?

Hi,
I think this one https://github.com/necroware/nwX287 could help.
Otherwise it is possible to cut open the cover and add an external
battery. There are instructions on youtube howto do it.

Is it an M48T86 ? Lots of those on ebay. I think it's a 24-pin DIP with a
ram and clock chip inside as well as a battery. Similar to some Dallas
products but I'm not sure the Dallas ones are suitable for PCs (different
clock chip).

One I realized I missed the correct part number, and found many online, I
just ordered one from digikey

Yes, I wrote earlier that I accidentally missed this line when jotting down
the silkscreen to look it up. That’s why I was having trouble! But all’s
well now
