Some versions of the TU10 had Lamb vacuum cleaner motors with carbon
brushes. At one site I had to replace them almost monthly. I wonder
where all the molecules from them went!
I still have a long power cord from a TU10 - long enough to go from
power controller to top of rack - I use it as an extension cord just to
remind me of those dark days :-)
