Libraries to write website scrapers are pretty common these days. I took a quick
look at my
links database and there are at least 30 that are actively maintained and in common use
these
days. There are also a few books out there on writing website scrapers, which might
account
for why they act so similarly.
Of course, asking ChatGPT or the like to write a scraper for you would result in scrapers
that
act pretty much the same as well.
